SURF EQUIPMENT – REIMAGINED
Surfing is an iconic sport that is extremely popular in coastal regions. Current surfboard fin manufacturers produce high end products using a process that does not allow for rapid prototyping. Our project develops surfboard fins using a unique combination of rapid prototyping (3D printing), computational fluid dynamics, computer aided design, stiffness testing, embedded sensors, wearables, the Internet-of-Things, machine learning and of course, surfing waves.
